A New Season
Nature is a great reminder of how our lives change as we go through various stages and phases. Sometimes things can get really hot, and at other times, life can feel like a breeze.
For reasons I won’t get into, I noticed a feeling of sadness bubbling up in me earlier this week. I decided to sit with it and actually feel it.
I’ve learned, over the years, that it is good to do so.
The next day I took it for a walk. I knew I could snap out of it if I wanted, but I wasn’t ready.
As I walked the wooded path I thought about many things. For one, I reflected on a conversation I had with a friend who is struggling with a difficult situation.
She shared how she was a bit offended when someone suggested that she “offer it up” to God.
Later, when I finished feeling sad, I decided that’s exactly what I would do.
God knows the whole story. He knows from whence the sadness comes.
And, He knows all the joy I have in my soul.
Today, I offer it all up to Him.
All my joys and sorrows, gifts and blessings.
Knowing. Trusting. Believing. He can and will use all things for His good.
I already feel it.
Wow . . .
“In Thanksgiving.”
