Feeling Thirsty?

At a recent visit I encouraged my 91 year old dad, who says he doesn’t have much energy, to drink more water.

“You’d be surprised,” I told him. “How much energy you can get from drinking water.”

After a quick google search, I learned that the sensation of thirst diminishes with age.

Older folks don’t physically feel the need to drink water.

Isn’t it interesting how sometimes we need the very thing we don’t feel we need.

Often, even when we know what we need, there are endless excuses as to why we don’t allow ourselves to receive what we need.

We all thirst.

Sometimes we don’t recognize the drink that is placed in front of us.

I was reminded of this when I heard a message about the “living water.”

When Jesus meets the woman at the well, He asks her for a drink.

We might be surprised to know what this really means and the energy it can provide.

Wow…

“He thirsts for us.”

Here’s to more WOW Moments!
