Follow Along
I am on a journey of discerning where I might volunteer my time, while also waiting to see if God has more for me to do with my career.
It’s quite the adventure and I am grateful for it.
The journey has been about quieting my desires and the distractions of the world and listening to the voice of the Spirit. Then, and most importantly, it’s about following where that voice leads.
Sometimes it’s about persistence and often it’s about patience. It’s also about pushing myself to take my next best inspired step.
This week as I reflected on my wins during my weekly mastermind session, I noticed that most of them had to do with connections.
Good connections feed my soul and this week was full of them.
One of the most powerful ones came through a woman I was paired with in a professional development activity. Offering feedback about the activity, she announced to the group that while we have known and respected each other for years, she learned that we were polar opposites based on our backgrounds, beliefs and ways of thinking.
Not sure what to think, i just smiled.
When we completed the assigned activity, she said and affirmed exactly what I needed to hear:
“I hear that you are patient and willing to wait for inspiration.”
“Regardless of your beliefs,” I shared with her before we hugged, “I know exactly where those words are coming from.”
Wow . . .
“Stay connected to the true source.”
Here’s to more WOW Moments!
