For Real
I had plans to meet a dear friend for dinner and wanted to bring her a gift to show my appreciation for her generous spirit.
Browsing through a gift shop, I came across a beautiful and small bouquet of tulips. They looked so real and felt even more real when I picked them up. I quickly decided to purchase these and present them to her.
She seemed to really like them and after a delightful and divine dinner, we started to say our good-byes. As she thanked me again for the tulips, she mentioned putting them in water when she got home.
I paused, smiled inside and out, then hugged her good-bye. I couldn’t bring myself to say anything. I wanted to see this play out.
When she got home she sent me a picture of the tulips in a beautiful vase, filled with water.
Ten days later, I got another picture with a message about how lovely they were and how long they have lasted.
This is when I opened up and shared the truth with her. We had fun with the exchange of messages that followed.
My friend is a very smart, faith-filled and, did I mention, generous person.
When I say the flowers were very realistic, I am not kidding.
These days, it’s hard to tell what is real and what is fake. Let’s not let fake things deceive us from the truth.
The truth is, we can’t always see what is real.
Wow . . .
“Seek the truth.”
Here’s to more WOW Moments!
With love,
