Growing and Learning

When I noticed something growing in a potted plant on my deck, I decided not to assume it was a weed and leave it be.

Shortly afterwards, there were other sprouts popping up and growing in this pot.

I began to recognize them as sunflowers. Happy flowers that I enjoy.

I find this amazing.

Seeds that I did not plant were growing and providing me with both beauty and joy.

This was happening with no effort on my part.

How interesting.

Life has a way of planting seeds – in our own backyards – for us to embrace and enjoy.

Sometimes in our effort to grow something or make something happen, we miss the things that are unfolding naturally.

In many cases, our work is to get out of the way of what’s happening..
