My Jingle

This is my one year anniversary of not working full-time. It’s been a wonderful year and I am very grateful.

After struggling with the concept for a while, when someone recently asked if I was “retired”, I was able to confidently say “I have retired from full-time work.”

That felt good. It resonated with me. It took a year to reach this point.

This past week I returned to my former place of employment for the annual Christmas Lunch – an event where “retirees” are invited to attend.

It was good to see everyone and to silently, once again, give thanks for the many ways that work blessed me.

Now, I am able to focus on my coaching practice, my volunteer work and all the meaningful moments that life brings.

While full-time work would put a louder jingle in my pocket, I am learning to embrace a quieter time, to make moments matter more than money and to realize oh what fun it is to ride following Jesus day by day.

Wow . . .

“Jingle all the way.”

Here’s to more WOW Moments!

❤️ Lucy
