What Do You Know?
I would soon be switching offices at work and would need more filing space.
On a random day off, after a relaxing morning, I had a thought. Or, maybe it was a feeling.
It was more than that. It was a “knowing”.
In that moment, I said to myself, “I am going to (the consignment store) and pick up a filing credenza.”
Typically, one does not know what they may or may not find at a consignment store. Having not been there in a while, I wouldn’t have known what they had in stock.
Somehow, that morning, I knew.
Let me be clear here. I wasn’t looking for a regular filing cabinet. I specifically wanted a wooden, two drawer credenza that would be functional and add warmth to my new space.
After a while, I got dressed for the day and headed to the store.
I wasn’t “hoping” or “wishing” I would find a credenza. I knew I would.
When I arrived, I didn’t go straight to the office area. I leisurely looked around as I usually do. After all, it was my day off and I wanted to enjoy it.
As I casually approached the office area, I saw my credenza sitting there.
I had almost expected myself to get excited and yet I remained calm.
This seemed to align with the fact that I knew it would be there.
I smiled and whispered, “Thank you.”
The wood of the credenza matched the wood of my soon to be desk. It was wrapped with some plastic as if it had recently been dropped off.
How did I know?
I am not sure.
God knows.
I do know He speaks in clarity.
I have come to trust this.
Wow . . .
“Sometimes you just know.”
Here’s to more WOW Moments!
With love,
Lucy
