Count Down
Here we are – at the beginning of the Advent Season – preparing for the coming of Christ at Christmas.
It is easy to get caught up in other things during the holiday season and hard to stay focused on what matters most. To do so, I believe we need to be very intentional about it.
In this moment, I am choosing to be intentional.
Will you join me?
Maybe you already have.
The Christmas Season is meant to be one of hope, peace, joy and love.
It is not intended to make us feel anxious, stressed, rushed or overwhelmed.
Together, let’s remember this. When these not-so-good feelings try to creep in, let’s remember to breathe.
Taking three deep breaths can bring us back to that calm, centered and peaceful feeling. Breathe in through your nose, and out through your mouth – as if you are blowing out candles.
Breathe in what you want more of – hope, peace, joy and love. Blow out to release what you don’t need or want.
As we count down the days to Christmas, let us also count our blessings and our breaths as needed.
