Do You Agree?

Having watched a baseball movie not long ago, I was recently reflecting on my favorite part.

I just love watching how the pitcher and catcher communicate with one another.

From what I can tell, the catcher makes suggestions as to what type of ball the pitcher will throw. Then the pitcher, very discreetly, shakes his head “no” or nods it “yes”.

That’s the part I love. Watching them come to an agreement really resonates with me.

Somehow it reminds me of how we make choices in life.

While it’s nice and can be very helpful to consult with someone else to explore suggestions, ultimately we must choose what is right for us.

I believe that learning to hear and listen to our own inner voice for guidance, is key.

In doing so, we can better discern our decisions and next steps.

As I ponder this more I am realizing that, for me, the agreement comes from aligning our spirt with the Holy Spirit.
