Heart to Heart

Truth be told, some Sundays I just do a final edit and then click send on my weekly blog. And, many Sundays I wake up having no idea of what I will write.

I am learning to rely more and more on the Holy Spirit.

This morning I woke up still reflecting on the powerful words from today’s gospel, proclaimed by the priest at mass last night.

“Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give.”
Matthew 10:8

He repeated these words several times throughout his homily.

“Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give.”

Reminding us that we have been given a mission by Jesus to continue what he started – including helping the lost, feeding the poor and loving others, always.

“Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give.”

One of my biggest life lessons, and one that I incorporated early on into my coaching practice, is that “you can’t give what you don’t have.”

This is the reason we must first receive, embrace and know how much we are loved by our Lord.

This is the reason we need quiet time with Him – heart to heart – basking in His love, resting in His presence and receiving His peace.

This afternoon I am treating myself to a matinee of the film, Sacred Heart: His Reign Has No End, to further nourish my knowing of His love and to be more deeply reminded of His call.

“Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give.”

Wow . . .

“Priceless.”

Here’s to more WOW Moments!
