In Search Of
Ever since I stopped working full-time and relocated to experience more peace, I have been more mindful of the sabbath and avoiding stores on Sunday.
That is, until last Sunday.
Without much thought, I found myself going to not one, or two, but three grocery stores.
As I was leaving the third one, it dawned on me. I was doing the thing I had decided not to do.
The circumstances, however, were a bit different.
I was planning to visit my parents the next day and because my mom was concerned that her small town grocery store would not have leg of lamb available before Easter, she asked if I could pick one up for her.
After going to three different stores, I realized my town didn’t have it available either, yet.
After that third store I sat in my car for a moment, pondering the irony of it all.
Not keeping the sabbath in search of the lamb.
The Good News is that the true Lamb of God comes to love, serve and save us all.
While we can get lost and distracted in seeking Him, He is always in search of us.
We must slow down, pay attention and notice.
Wow . . .
“Behold, your king comes to you.”
Here’s to more WOW Moments!
