It’s No Surprise

Once again it was time to organize my closet and drawers, as things had gotten a bit messy. This time, however, it felt very different.

For some reason, this time, I was keenly aware that it wouldn’t be the last time I would do this. While this has always been the case, it was as if I knew it on a much deeper level. There was some soulful satisfaction that came with this deep knowing.

Later in the week, I had a another experience. In this situation, I noticed how something that was going well got messy again. Even though this has been the pattern all along, it really surprised me. I was surprised that I was surprised.

It wasn’t until I reflected on my week, that I made a connection between these two experiences. Both are ongoing situations that go well for a while and then get messy again.

Do you have any of these situations in your life?

The difference is in how I manage my expectations and embrace the situation.

I am convinced that I experienced that deep sense of knowing that “things will get messy again and that’s okay” in the first situation so that I can apply it to the second one.

It’s been a powerful realization that I thank God for.

I am reminded to enjoy the good times, and trust that good is on the way in other times.

Wow . . .

“This too shall pass.”

Here’s to more WOW Moments!
