My Angel

This week I have been reflecting on angels, prompted by two recent feast days commemorating them.

I was grateful to be reminded of the guardian angel that we each have with us.

My faith has taught me that these spiritual beings are with us always. They are servants and messengers from God whose role it is to guard us and guide us on our journey.

We can call out to them as needed – asking them for help and thanking them as well.

Discussing the topic of angels with a few other women, we shared some personal experiences. We also talked about how the word “angel” is sometimes used to refer to something it is “technically” not.

Then it happened.

It was the very next day.

My husband was speaking to someone about me and, a bit out of character, he said, “She’s my angel.”

I wanted to say, “No, technically I’m not.”

Instead, I smiled and received it.

Wow . . .

“Thanks for the guidance.”
