Becoming Obedient

I remember the day I turned 18. I paraded up and down our small (but it felt big then) hallway, to demonstrate and announce that I had arrived.

After all, this was my life (or so I thought) and it was time for me to do whatever I wanted.

My poor mom and what she had to deal with.

Now, at a much older age, I have such a strong desire to be obedient. It is very clear to me as to whose child I AM.

I want to know and do His will.

It’s my daily prayer.

Thy will be done.

Though I fall short. Often.

Through His goodness and mercy, there is always an opportunity to get it right.

It’s interesting how our human nature wants to resist rules and regulations.

We are often led or tempted to believe that doing things our way is the better or more fulfilling way.

That’s a lie.

It turns out that there is so much more freedom, peace and true power in being obedient.

The more we learn the truth, the more we want to follow it.

Wow . . .

“It is the way.”

Here’s to more WOW Moments!
