My Imagination

Recently I have looked at some pictures of a couple of houses online and then went to visit them in person.

Each time I came away with a sense that pictures can be very deceiving.

As I reflected on this more, what I realized is that the picture is showing things as they are.

My interpretation of what I see is what is deceiving.

I imagine things to be bigger and better than what I am seeing. I also imagine what exists and does not exist beyond what the picture shows.

While a picture can be worth a thousand words, I am fascinated with how our imagination plays into what we see or don’t see and how it can create a distorted dialogue in our minds.
