Pray for Peace

After seeing the morning news, I turned to my daily readings.

There, in the first line of the first reading, it references the town of Bethel.

“What?” I thought.

“Didn’t I just see a similar town mentioned in the morning news?”

“Bethel” means “House of God”.

As I continued with my readings, Psalm 85 was next.

I share a verse of it with you below.

“I will hear what God proclaims;
the Lord – for he proclaims peace.

To his people, and to his faithful ones,
and to those who put in him their hope.” Psalm 85:9

Wow . . .

“Peace be with you.”
