Relax

Wanting to recline and have something on the TV that I could relax to, my husband picked out an episode of an old television show.

He asked if I watched it growing up. Other than a few favorites, I didn’t watch, or at least pay attention to, a lot of TV.

I was always more interested in watching the people watch TV than watching the TV itself.

He then pointed out that I would have been 12 years old when the show aired. This prompted by mind to wander.

I reflected on life as a 12 year old. I pondered where I was in life, what I thought, what I believed and how I felt about things.

The next day at mass, the Gospel Reading was about the woman afflicted with hemorrhages for 12 years and the 12 year old girl who arouse from the dead. (Mark 5:21-43)  Both situations illustrating the power of faith.

Having heard and read this passage many times before, somehow it spoke to me in a new and different way.

I was inspired, uplifted and encouraged.

May you be too.

Wow . . .

“Keep the faith.”

Here’s to more WOW Moments!
