Road Block

Driving to my hair appointment, there appeared to be a traffic jam in the shopping center with a line of cars going in the opposite direction.

As I proceeded, I noticed the detour ahead due to the road construction.

At first I thought I, too, would be one of those cars who would turn around and go back the other way.

Instead, I decided to keep going. When I saw an open space, I parked in it.

Although this was not where I usually parked, I quickly realized that the salon was a short walk around the corner. In fact, this was a shorter distance than the one I usually take to get there.

As I reflected on this situation, I thought about how often we turn back when we face a road block in life not realizing how close we really are to our destination.

Wow . . .
