Vacation Destination

I was recently reminded of that good feeling that comes from being on a real vacation.

For me it’s about waking up at whatever time I want, sitting endlessly, relaxing and sipping on coffee. Easing into the day without any real agenda, obligations or time constraints.

It’s looking around and thoroughly enjoying my surroundings with no dishes to wash or laundry that needs to done.

It’s being able to breathe in deeply, fully appreciating the moment and exhaling out any lingering tension.

It’s when I can leisurely pick up a book to read or a journal to write in. I can think, ponder or just listen to the birds sing.

To me, it feels like freedom. It feels light and joyful. It energizes me and moves me to give thanks and praise. I feel Go(o)d.

I experienced this a lot last weekend.

I was at home.

It took a while to arrive here.

Sometimes it helps to get away in order to tap into this feeling and become familiar with it again.

Sometimes it helps to stay put and still to better access this feeling.

Once we get there, we can take it wherever we go.

And, we always have access to it.

Personally, I like to be at a good place before I go on vacation

Otherwise, I’d rather stay home.

Wow . . .

“Be at home with feeling good.”

Here’s to more WOW Moments!
