Wait For It

A friend of mine purchased and potted a lemon tree to have and enjoy on her deck.

Soon after, I remember her mentioning how it wasn’t growing and producing as she had hoped.

This week she texted me with a picture to show and share that she had just picked 18 lemons off her lemon tree.

Eighteen!

It has been six years since she purchased the tree.

I’m not sure what all she went through in the past six years. I imagine it included some:

·       disappointment

·       frustration

·       patience

·       commitment

·       dedication

·       patience

·       perseverance

·       work

·       patience

Such is life, right?

Sometimes we get lemons. Sometimes we don’t.

I believe life is less about what happens and more about how we respond.
