Your Lot in Life

It happened months ago and I am reminded of it every time I drive by my neighbor’s house.

Her house, like ours, has a sunroom in the back. It’s where she spends a lot of her time, especially in the mornings, as I do in mine.

Several months ago, on a Sunday morning, an un-forecasted storm came charging through our neighborhood. An extremely large tree was uprooted and fell into her sunroom.

The sunroom was demolished. She would have been too.

Except that, on this particular Sunday, she wasn’t there.

It was the first Sunday, since COVID, that she decided to go back to church.

When I spoke to her that afternoon, she shared how grateful she was to have made that decision.

Her house is currently being torn down. She will rebuild a new home on the same lot.

She seems to have accepted the situation and is giving thanks for all that is good.

Wow . . .

“Reconnect. Rebuild. Rejoice.”

Here’s to more WOW Moments!
