A Good Edge
I miss Michael.
Michael would come to our home weekly, sometimes bi-weekly, always as needed.
Michael was our lawn guy.
He was not in the best health. Sometimes walking was a challenge for him. And yet, he did good work. Always.
What I liked best about his lawn care, was the way he edged.
I have always liked a good edge.
There is something about that clean, sharp, crisp line separating the grass from the natural areas that is very appealing to me.
Now, at our new home, the lawn service is provided. It’s not the same as having your own guy.
There was an area in our front lawn that was full of weeds. I kept expecting it to be handled. For it to go away. It didn’t.
Then, the other day, I decided to pull those weeds. Myself.
They came up pretty easily and it made such a big difference.
This made me think about my life.
What other annoying things can I easily get rid of, if I but decide to do so.
Life is always challenging us to develop our own edge – those skills and attributes that set us apart, make us feel good and more aligned.
I still miss Michael.
And, this has given me something to ponder.
Wow . . .
“What needs sharpening?”
Here’s to more WOW Moments!
