A Replacement

While waiting at a good honest auto service shop, as you may know I enjoy, I chatted with the office manager.

She was full of excitement, anticipating her upcoming beach trip. Normally, she shared, she went to the beach with her sisters over Labor Day week.

This year, though, her boss and owner of the shop really needed her to work that week.

He was recovering from a knee replacement and she was the only one who could keep the business going.

She kindly obliged.

Now, she continued, he offered to pay for a full week at the beach.

Wow . . .

“There is no replacement for kindness.”
