An Epiphany

I usually leave my Christmas decorations out until The Epiphany on January 6, or later. This year, however, I got an earlier start because of another project I would need to manage.

As I continue this process of decluttering and downsizing, it was my intent to consolidate and discard some of the decorations I no longer need or use.

I had a total of eight clear Christmas bins – 4 with red lids and 4 with green ones. My goal was to cut this by 25% and end up with six bins.

It was a fun a therapeutic process. More letting go, more trusting that someone else would enjoy what I was passing on and more giving thanks and praise.

In the end, of course, I wanted to have three of each colored bin. That’s when I realized the way I had cleared them out wasn’t lining up this way.

Then, right before I emptied one container into the other I had an epiphany.

All I really needed to do was change the lid.

Wow . . .

“Sometimes the solution is easier than we first think.”

Here’s to more WOW Moments!
