Create Balance
Engaged in a conversation about “work-life balance”, I was intrigued by some of the comments I heard.
For some, it seems that work and life are so intertwined that there is no real division. For others, there was a definite distinction between time at work and time away from work.
Long after the conversation ended, I found myself still pondering this concept.
I’m fascinated by how people view it and what they say about it. I’d love to know what you think.
As for me, I know I am at my best when I feel my life is balanced.
I also know that I am the only one who can create this for myself.
Interestingly, when I picked up the book I have been reading I found myself in a chapter where the author writes about balance.
Life’s timing never ceases to amaze me!
In her book, “Inner Compass”, Margaret Slif relates balance to the swinging of a pendulum in an old-fashioned grandfather clock."
“As long as the pendulum swings in moderation and balance, the clock stays true to its purpose and keeps good time. But if it were to swing excessively to either side, it would lose all balance and become unreliable.”
It’s time to be true to ourselves.
Wow . . .
“Live life on purpose.”
