In the End

Months ago I ordered a new buffet for our dining area. The plan was to shift things around in that room and replace the one we had.

When I first put in the order, I questioned whether the distressed look was a bit too distressed. As time passed, I found myself hoping I would like it.

Then, the delays began. The delivery date was pushed out later and later. My communications with customer service became more and more frustrating. No one seemed to be able to locate it and there was no tracking available.

In addition, the arrangements I was trying to make to remove our current buffet was not coming together as I had planned.

Then, I got it.

I finally realized what was happening and I thanked God for it.

This buffet was not for me and none of this was meant to be.

I canceled my order, rearranged what I already had and couldn’t be happier it ended this way.

Wow . . .

“Be not distressed.”
