What’s the Buzz About?

I set out for a weekend away to enjoy some quiet time, which is one of my favorite things to do.

Sitting in a rocking chair under a covered porch reading a book while it was raining outside and absolutely enjoying the experience, I looked up to see what was buzzing.

It was a very large group of humming birds fluttering around a bird feeder. They were coming and going very quickly. It looked like they were aggressively moving each other out of the way to get to the feeder.

As I continued to watch, I found it very interesting. Not knowing a lot about humming birds, I later looked up some information about them.

I learned that:

·       They beat their wings thousands of times per minute.

·       Their hearts thump up to 1260 times per minute.

·       They breathe extremely quickly.

That is intense.

At first I found myself getting drawn into the intensity of it all.

Then, somehow I knew, there was something bigger buzzing in my ear.

Wow . . .

“We can have peace in the midst of tense moments.”

Here’s to more WOW Moments!
