Or Bust

Embarking on a Spirit-filled conversation with a friend, she began by saying, “I keep thinking about the idea of pouring new wine in an old wineskin.”

And so it began.

This led us down a path of discussing a number of different things. We pondered what might be next in our lives. We shared our desire to be both prepared and open to receive what was divinely intended for us.

We talked about practicing good self-care and about using time wisely.

We were inspired, uplifted and encouraged.

We were also determined to live life differently.

In the end, we both had specific action items to help us achieve this.

The very next day, in the mail, I received my monthly publication of daily devotionals.

My heart nearly skipped a beat when I saw, on the cover, a beautiful picture of a sunrise over a vineyard with the words:

“New Wine and New Wineskins.”

Wow . . .

“Be renewed.”
