Patience
With the delivery and repair work (long story) of some new office furniture, I was finally able to unpack the bulk of the remaining boxes from our recent move.
It feels so good to have this space set up.
In the process of doing so, I was reminded of God’s divine and always good timing. While I had wanted to do this weeks ago, He had other plans.
It turns out, due to a series of events, that three hours after my husband left for a business trip the long-awaited office shelves and cabinets were ready to be filled. This gave me four days, on my own, to work on this project.
God knows this is how I work best.
Having this kind of time and space, I am better able to give myself permission to work at my own pace, to ponder as I go and to live with a temporary mess, knowing it is part of the process.
The boxes I unpacked came from three different rooms of our old house – my office, his office and the sunroom I used for my morning quiet time. It was very surreal combining all three spaces into one.
After 28 years of marriage, I felt like my husband and I were moving in together.
Wow . . .
“It takes time for some things to come together.”
P.S. I pray he is pleasantly surprised when he returns tonight.
Here’s to more WOW Moments!
